Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a Developer to translate business requirements into technical designs and build production-ready applications. You will contribute to mid-sized projects, work with databases, and ensure code quality through tests.

Preferred candidates have 3+ years of production development, experience with C#, ASP.NET MVC, JavaScript/jQuery, HTML5/CSS3, and modern MVVM frameworks, plus familiarity with TDD/BDD and ORM tools.

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
• 3+ years related experience.
• Experience developing programs for production.
• BS Computer Science or related field (preferred).
• Agile (Scrum, XP).
• HTML5, CSS3.
• Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior Driven Development (BDD).
• JavaScript/jQuery.
• Document databases (RavenDB, MongoDB, CouchDB).
• JavaScript MVVM frameworks such as Knockout or Angular.
• NServiceBus.

Responsibilities

• Take business requirements and develop the total technical design for assigned mid-sized projects.
• Apply working knowledge of databases to ensure proper usage in design for production.
• Follow established processes, policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory policies.
• Conduct appropriate test reviews on assigned projects; present findings and solutions to management.
• Participate in daily stand-up, bi-weekly iteration planning and other sessions as needed.
• Write clean code with good nomenclature, sensible unit/integration/acceptance tests, and comments.
