Avtec Finishing in New Hope, MN, is seeking a Production Racker for the 2nd shift (3:00 PM – 1:00 AM, Monday-Thursday with overtime). You’ll prepare metal parts for plating, rack and un rack, inspect parts and follow work instructions to ensure quality.

No metal finishing experience is required; we will train the right person. This entry point offers steady hours, overtime opportunities, and potential earnings through bonuses, profit sharing and attendance rewards.

Production Racker - Metal Finishing

Job type: Full-Time | Direct Hire

Location: Avtec Finishing - New Hope, MN

Shift: 2nd Shift | 3:00 PM - 1:00 AM | Monday-Thursday + Overtime

Starting Wage: $24.00/hour + DOQ | $49,920/year (see potential additional earnings below)

Signing Bonus: $1,500 for eligible new hires

• Regular Wages: $49,920/year
• Friday Overtime Opportunities: Up to an additional $18,720/year
• Weekly Attendance Reward: Up to an additional $2,600/year ($50/week)
• Profit Sharing: Up to an additional $4,800/year
• Signing Bonus: $1,500 for eligible new hires

Potential Annual Earnings: Up to $76,040*

Plus the $1,500 new-hire signing bonus.

As a Production Racker, you'll prepare metal parts for the plating and metal-finishing process. You'll attach parts to specialized racks before processing, remove them afterward, inspect and handle parts carefully, and follow work instructions that tell you how each job needs to be completed.

Some parts may be large. Others may be extremely small. The work can be repetitive, and production pace matters - but so does quality.

If you like staying busy, working with your hands and seeing what you've accomplished at the end of the day, this may be a good fit.

Previous metal-finishing experience is not required. We will train the right person. We're looking for someone who:

• Can remain focused while performing repetitive work.

Physical & Work Environment

The position includes standing for extended periods, repetitive hand and arm movements, handling parts of varying sizes and weights, and working in an active metal-finishing environment.

The manufacturing environment may include noise, heat, humidity, chemicals and other conditions typical of a metal-finishing operation. Required personal protective equipment is provided.
