Job summary

Astranis Space Technologies in California is seeking a Production Quality Intern for Winter 2027 to join our fast-paced hardware team. You will work with Design, Production, Quality, and Test engineering to develop inspection and verification procedures and support root cause analysis.

This internship emphasizes hands-on hardware work, data gathering, and cross-functional collaboration to monitor factory health. Onsite five days a week with a base pay of $29/hour.

Production Quality Intern (Winter 2027)

Four billion people do not have access to the internet. Astranis is going to change that. We are building the next generation of smaller, lower-cost telecommunications satellites to bring the world online. And to pull it off we have to reinvent microwave radio systems in space using SDRs.

Role

Requirements

• A passion for hardware development and manufacturing systems, including working in a fast-paced environment and hands-on design and development
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Must be onsite 5 days a week

Bonus

• Previous internship or coursework experience in a similar role
• Experience with quality management systems or hardware manufacturing
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL
• Direct electrical or mechanical design experience
• Demonstrated ability to debug hardware and software problems under time pressure

The base pay for this position is $29.00 per hour.

Base Hourly Pay

$29-$29 USD
