Job summary

Ag Processing Inc (AGP) is seeking a Production Assistant at our Refinery in Saint Joseph, MO to support plant projects and procedures and improve overall efficiency. The role reports to the Plant Operations Manager and emphasizes safety, documentation, and cross-department coordination.

The position involves project write-ups, budgeting support, and ensuring compliance with hazard communication and process safety standards. Strong communication and organization are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Engineering/technical degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years or equivalent in related field preferred.
• Knowledge of hazard communication standards, PSM, NFPA, OSHA, and EPA regulations as they pertain to solvent extraction plant operations.
• Knowledge of industry regulations and guidelines.
• Knowledge of inventory control techniques.
• Experience supervising others or knowledge of supervisory techniques.
• Strong problem solving and cognitive thinking skills along with ability to make sound decisions using information on hand.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to always maintain professionalism with diverse internal and external customers.
• Proven ability to maintain high level of organization and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Directly responsible for project development and completion, including PAR/Tech VAP write-up procedures.
• Obtain project bids and organize schedule of values, budgets, writing contracts, project scheduling, and change orders.
• Monitor and maintain records for inspections.
• Work closely and communicate with all departments to coordinate project activities.
• Cover on call rotation; Project management; Assist in developing Capital and Business Plans.
