Custom Staffing partnered with a local Manufacturing Company to hire a Production Prep Associate in Bluffton, OH. This Temp to Hire opportunity offers steady hours and a $18.00 per hour pay rate.

Typical duties include reading SOPs, preparing metal parts, operating basic machinery, applying primers, and ensuring safety and quality checks. The shift runs 6:50am - 3:10pm with weekly pay and medical insurance.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 1+ years in a manufacturing environment.
• Team-oriented: ability to work in a team environment.
• Fluent English: written and spoken.
• Independent work: able to perform with minimal supervision.
• Strong safety commitment to industrial standards and protocols.
• Capable of reading, understanding, and completing plant paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Standard Operating Procedures: Read and understand SOPs.
• Production Processes: Wash, degrease, and treat raw metal parts to remove industrial oils, rust and scale.
• Operate machinery to grind, sandblast or other operations to prepare metal.
• Apply chemical primers or bonding agents to prepared metal parts.
• Load and unload metal-treatment lines, conveyors or industrial ovens.
• Frequently lift and move components weighing 40-70 lbs.
• Equipment Support: Provide hands-on maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Quality & Safety Checks: Perform quality checks on products.
• Plant Support: Execute other related production duties as assigned by Plant Supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Standard Operating Procedures: Read and understand SOPs
• Production Processes
  • Wash, degrease, and treat raw metal parts to remove industrial oils, rust and scale
  • Operate machinery to manually grind, sandblast or other necessary operations to prepare the metal
  • Apply chemical primers or bonding agents to prepared metal parts
  • Load and unload metal-treatment lines, conveyors or industrial ovens
  • Frequently lift and move components weighing anywhere from 40-70lbs
• Equipment Support: Provide hands-on maintenance support for all production equipment to minimize operational downtime.
• Quality & Safety Checks: Perform quality checks on products being manufactured.
• Plant Support: Execute other related production duties and tasks as directly assigned by Plant Supervision.

Working Conditions

• Work in a moderately noisy environment with heat, paint fumes, chemical cleaning agents and fumes

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: One or more years of working in a manufacturing environment.

• Communication: Good written and verbal skills; must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
