East Side Plating in Portland, OR is hiring a Pre-finisher for our day shift. The role involves polishing, bead blast, roto blast and vibratory finishing to prepare parts for delivery.

Responsibilities include setting up lathes and blast equipment, loading and unloading parts, applying masking, and tracking work orders. English communication and teamwork are required; a strong safety and quality focus is essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform visual inspection on parts prior to processing.
• Able to stand during shift.
• Ability to lift parts and push carts up to 50 lbs.
• Must read, write, and communicate in English with a demonstrated ability to follow written and oral instructions, and work well with others
• Ability to work in a fastpaced team environment and receive direction from others

• Sets up lathes
• Sets up and maintains media in blast cabinet, rotoblast and vibratory
• Loads, processes and unloads customer parts from blast cabinet, rotoblast and vibratory following process steps outlined in work instructions and work order
• Applies and removes masking as required to achieve desired prefinish results
• Packages parts for return shipment to customer or subsequent processing steps
• Makes recommendations for improvements and may assist in designing and manufacturing tooling, fixtures, and masking used in the prefinishing process
• Tracks and records work order information in computer
• Follows safety guidelines, achieves and maintains quality and productivity standards, maintains an acceptable dependability level, and must not pose risk to self or others

East Side Plating Pre-finisher – Polisher/Bead Blast/Roto Blast

East Side Plating is currently hiring a Pre-finisher for our day shift operations. The Pre-finisher performs polishing, bead-blast, roto-blast and vibratory mass finishing.

Responsibilities

• Polish different metals to a high cosmetic finish
• Sets up lathes
• Sets up and maintains media in blast cabinet, rotoblast and vibratory
• Loads, processes and unloads customer parts from blast cabinet, rotoblast and vibratory following process steps outlined in work instructions and work order

• Packages parts for return shipment to customer or subsequent processing steps

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous polishing experience desired, but will train
• Previous cabinet bead blasting experience
• Previous experience working with/inspecting cosmetic surfaces

Shifts: Days: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM with occasional Saturday overtime. Other shifts may be available

Wage: $20.00 per hour, negotiable depending on experience
