Sanmina Corporation in San Jose, CA is hiring a Production Planner to schedule work orders and coordinate movement of products and materials. You will review backlog, assess shortages, and provide commitments while collaborating with purchasing, production and engineering to keep schedules intact.

The role requires APICS training and 2+ years in production planning, with strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills, plus proficiency in Oracle 11i, MS Excel/Office and MRP.

Qualifications

• BS/AA degree with APICS training is required or highly desirable.
• 2+ years of experience as a Production planner or equivalent.
• Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Proficiency in Oracle 11i, MS-Excel, MS-Office and MRP is required.

Responsabilités

• Performs scheduling for work orders and coordinates product/material movement to on-time shipment.
• Reviews backlog to determine material shortages and capacity needs and communicates commitments.
• Expedites materials and WIP with purchasing, production and engineering; identifies potential supply concerns.
• Demonstrates judgment in selecting methods for material planning and production scheduling.

What You’ll Do

• Performs scheduling functions involved with Managing Work orders, coordinating products and materials movement through the manufacturing processes to completion and on time shipment.
• Reviews backlog to determine materials shortages and capacity requirements to provide commitments feedback to customer.
• Coordinates the efficient expediting of materials and work in process with purchasing, production and engineering. Proactively identify areas of potential supply concerns, keeping in mind capacity constraints, shortages and communicates analysis/recommendations to all parties impacted.
• Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions related to material planning and production scheduling.
• A working knowledge of Kinaxis Rapid Response Advanced planning systems is a plus and highly desirable

What You’ll Bring

At Sanmina, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $70,000 - $80,000 and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
