Job summary

Nestlé USA is seeking a production scheduler to craft a capacity‑constrained, efficient sequence of materials and production runs that align with available resources. You will partner with production, supply planning, and corporate leaders to reduce costs and optimize inventory levels, while ensuring food safety and quality standards are met.

Your role includes maintaining DPS master data, translating schedules into production orders, and communicating changes to stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree preferred (Industrial Engineering, Logistics Management or Business Management majors a plus).
  • Experience in manufacturing environment and production scheduling.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles.

Responsibilities

  • Create a feasible production plan within the scheduling period considering capacity, labor and materials.
  • Review detailed production schedule daily/weekly/monthly to meet priorities.
  • Collaborate with factory operations and master scheduling for long-term planning.
  • Utilize planning tools to determine optimal schedule for cost and service.
  • Publish weekly production schedule and manage changes to meet orders.
  • Maintain DPS planning master data and ensure system integrity.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and Nestlé standards while minimizing changeovers.
  • Monitor supply signals and coordinate with procurement to create POs.
  • Engage in LEAN and value stream improvements to boost costs and efficiencies.
