Summary

The Production Planner develops schedules, establishing the sequence and timeframe of manufacturing operations to meet production requirements. Reviews orders, shipping needs, plant capacity, and inventory before drawing up schedules. Sets up operational series to guide production work.

Essential Functions

• Daily communication with Production Leaders regarding product flow.
• Addressing issues related to casting availability, processes, and product quality.
• Ensure Manufacturing Systems accurately reflect inventory reporting.
• Communicate production issues impacting schedules to relevant leaders.
• Coordinate delivery commitments with customers and sales representatives.
• Interface with Shipping to coordinate movement of finished products for on-time delivery.
• Maintain accurate documentation of inventory levels at each operation step.
• Develop production forecasts supporting financial and business objectives.
• Coordinate customer demand changes with Sales and Casting Plants.
• Process Purchase Orders and Requisitions per procedures.
• Perform Physical Inventories following procedures.
