Job summary

Bosch Rexroth in North Carolina is seeking a Production Planner to plan and control production orders in SAP, coordinate material availability, and ensure timely delivery. You will work cross-functionally with Sales, Procurement, Warehouse, and Production teams to optimize schedules and drive improvements.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in production/planning, strong SAP (PP/MM), and advanced Excel skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in SCM/Operations/Industrial Engineering/Business.
  • 3–5 years in production planning in manufacturing.
  • Strong SAP experience (PP/MM) including orders.
  • Solid understanding of MRP, BOMs, routings, lead times.
  • Proficiency with Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication; interface between Sales, Procurement, Warehouse, and Production.
  • Strong organizational skills; manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and control production orders in SAP/R3 from release to completion.
  • Coordinate material availability with procurement, warehouse, and production teams.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to avoid bottlenecks.
  • Maintain material master data and ensure data quality.
  • Act as the key interface between Sales, Procurement, Warehouse, and Production.
  • Analyze capacity and workloads to support daily scheduling and long-term strategies.
  • Drive continuous improvements in production planning processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Description
  • Planning and controlling production orders in SAP/R3 from release to completion.
  • coordinating material availability with procurement, warehouse, and the operational production teams.
  • Proactivity is key: Monitoring production progress and adjust schedules to avoid bottlenecks.
  • To guarantee planning reliability, accurately maintaining material master data and ensure data quality.
  • Acting as the key interface between sales, procurement, and production to ensure smooth alignment across departments.
  • Analyzing capacity and workloads to support both daily scheduling and long‑term strategies.
  • With a focus on optimization, driving continuous improvements in our production planning processes.
  • other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Post‑secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 3‑5 years of experience in production planning, materials planning, or supply chain roles within a manufacturing environment and hands‑on experience planning and controlling production orders from release through completion.
  • Strong SAP experience required (PP/MM modules preferred), including creation, release, tracking, and closing of production orders.
  • Solid understanding of MRP, BOMs, routings, lead times, and production scheduling principles.
  • Proficiency with Excel and data analysis tools to monitor performance, identify trends, and support decision‑making
  • Excellent cross‑functional communication skills, with experience acting as a key interface between Sales, Procurement, Warehouse, and Production.
  • Confident in presenting planning constraints, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced production environment.
