Job summary

Huhtamaki in Hopkinsville, KY is seeking a hands-on Operations Planner to manage production capacity and coordinate with planning and customer service to optimize schedules. You will support ERP/MRP systems and monthly inventories, ensuring timely processing of shop orders and accurate reporting.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma, a 4-year degree preferred, and experience with ERP/MRP software. APICS certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; a 4-year degree is preferred.
• Knowledge of ERP or MRP manufacturing software is required; APICS certification is a plus.
• Broad knowledge of planning, manufacturing, inventory, and customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Manage production capacity for Hopkinsville facility.
• Coordinate with Production Planning to ensure orders are processed timely.
• Ensure shop orders are assigned to appropriate work centers and prioritize plans to meet demand.
• Interface with Operations and Customer Service to optimize production schedules and efficiency.
• Communicate updated schedule status as needed; generate and distribute production reports.
• Assist with ERP system implementation and plant-wide inventory activities.
