Job summary

The Vincit Group in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Production Planner to coordinate and plan production across manufacturing facilities. You will requisition raw materials, manage inventory levels, and collaborate with Sales and Operations to ensure on-time, accurate fulfillment.

Responsibilities

• Plan optimized batches for the facilities assigned to the Production Planner.
• Work with Sales, Operations, and other departments to obtain forecast information related to changes in sales demand, raw material availability, etc.
• Calculate optimal batch sizes for entry into the ERP system.
• Identify potential customer backorders and instigate corrective measures to avoid late shipments.
• Assist with setting up inter-site transfers when needed.
• Aged Inventory Review and suggestions to Sales/Operations for disposition or use.
• Identify and help correct procedural or system issues that cause inventory inaccuracies.
• Assist with cycle count and annual physical count process.
• Other Duties as assigned
