Job summary

1-800-Flowers.com, Inc. is seeking a Production Planning Supervisor to lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of production workflows in our manufacturing operation.

You will coordinate schedules, optimize batch allocation, and ensure on-time customer order fulfillment while collaborating with Operations, Inventory, Quality, and Supply Chain teams. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in production planning, scheduling, or related manufacturing roles and experience with ERP/MRP/WMS systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Production Planning, Production Scheduling, Manufacturing Operations, Production Control, or Supply Chain Planning in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading or supervising a team is preferred.
• Experience working with ERP, MRP, or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Strong understanding of production scheduling, inventory management, workflow optimization, and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production planning and workflow activities to support customer order fulfillment.
• Coordinate production schedules, batch allocation, and order release to maximize efficiency.
• Monitor production workflow and proactively resolve bottlenecks to maintain on-time delivery.
• Partner with Operations, Inventory, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure production priorities remain aligned.
• Utilize ERP, MRP, and WMS systems to manage production schedules, inventory, and workflow.
• Analyze production performance and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency.
• Oversee batch changes, production adjustments, and workflow documentation while ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures.
• Monitor order execution and resolve issues that may impact customer commitments.
• Supervise workflow activities, assign daily priorities, and support team performance.
• Review schedules, maintain accurate production documentation, and ensure operational accuracy.
• Complete end-of-shift production reviews and communicate operational updates to leadership.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, quality, and customer service.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in Production Planning, Production Scheduling, Manufacturing Operations, Production Control, Supply Chain Planning, or a related manufacturing environment
• Previous experience leading or supervising a team preferred
• Experience working with ERP, MRP, or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Strong understanding of production scheduling, inventory management, workflow optimization, and manufacturing processes
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement methodologies is a plus
