Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. in Berea, OH is seeking a seasoned Production Planner to own and optimize planning activities, coordinating parts delivery to align with production schedules.

You will push and release Work Orders, collaborate with warehousing and purchasing, and drive on-time performance across daily, weekly, and monthly targets. The role requires 5+ years in production planning with manufacturing exposure, strong organizational skills, and hands-on ERP/MRP and Excel know-how.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution; and experience which has provided both theoretical and practical knowledge in the field.
• Minimum of 5+ years Production Planning experience with 2+ of those years being in manufacturing.
• Enterprise Resource Planning or Material Resource Planning experience is required.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Demonstrated capability working with Microsoft Office suite of products; proficient in Excel formulas, look-ups and pivot tables. Query capability is a plus.
• Production and Processing - Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

Responsibilities

• Review open sales orders to determine customer requirements.
• Take ownership to coordinate delivery of parts to expedite flow of material to meet production schedule.
• Execute MRP messages to push, pull, or release Work Orders and release manufacturing work orders to the warehouse for kit picking.
• Collaborate with appropriate teams to ensure daily, weekly, and monthly goals are met; create action plans and ensure follow-through.
• Coordinate between warehouse and purchasing on material shortages and notify Sales of any schedule impacts.
• Proactively coordinate/expedite manufacturing builds to ensure schedules are achieved.
• Follow all policies and procedures; initiate changes to existing processes to improve overall effectiveness.
• Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; take action and bring solutions to meetings.
• Other duties as assigned to meet department and facility goals.
