Job summary

Silfab Solar is seeking a Production Operator I in Fort Mill, SC to operate assigned machines safely and efficiently to produce quality work. You will load materials, test components, and maintain clean workstations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You must read and follow English work instructions, possess basic computer literacy, and be able to lift and stand for long periods. High school diploma or equivalent required; production experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and follow work instructions in English.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic computer literacy is preferred.
• Soldering experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate automatic and semi-automatic machines according to position SWI.
• Clean and prepare workstation and machines.
• Assemble and test components and ensure adherence to specifications.
• Perform simple electrical testing of components, parts, and systems.
• Identify and mark acceptable and defective assemblies.
• Check final assembly for finish, labeling, and packaging methods.
• Complete other tasks as required and/or directed.
• Maintain compliance with established policies and procedures.

As a Production Operator I, you will operate your assigned position or task safely and efficiently to optimally produce quality work. This may include the placement and testing of electrical components, cleaning of finished products, or loading of raw materials into machines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate automatic and semi-automatic machines according to position Standard Work Instructions (SWI)
• Clean and prepare workstation and machines.
• Assemble and test components and ensure adherence to specified requirements.
• Perform simple electrical and continuity testing of electronic components, parts, and systems.
• Identify and mark acceptable and defective assemblies.
• Check final assembly for finish, labelling, and packaging methods.
• Complete other tasks as required and/or directed.
• Maintain compliance with established policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, ability to distinguish between colors.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions in English.
• Basic computer literacy
• Soldering experience is an asset.
