Job summary

Winchester Ammunition in Knox, IN is seeking a Production Operator to operate and troubleshoot production equipment, load boxes, and move materials using a forklift. The role requires attention to safety, quality checks, and teamwork in a fast paced environment.

Eligible for scheduled pay increases after 90 and 180 days based on performance and time in position. The position offers a straight afternoon or straight midnight shift with a $1.25/hour differential and a starting rate of $21.25/hour,

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Prior related production line experience preferred.
• Experience operating a forklift preferred.
• Advanced mechanical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills preferred.
• Must be multi-tasking, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and within a team environment.
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods, climb ladders, work at heights, in weather elements and extreme temperatures, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Flexibility to work other shifts and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operates, troubleshoots, and performs machine adjustments.
• Loads cardboard boxes into production equipment.
• Transports palletized materials using a forklift.
• Performs quality checks.
• Adheres to all safety requirements, including lockout/tagout and wearing required PPE.
• Operates Cast or Paint Machine (additional task).
• Replaces machine tooling, cylinders, and actuators as needed.
• Ensures raw material reservoirs are maintained.
