Qualifications

• Stand and walk on cement for 10 hours a day.
• Lift approximately 40 lbs frequently from floor to above head.
• Document information accurately and legibly.
• Corrected vision must be 20/40 far and 20/40 near.
• Work around high heat up to 410 degrees Fahrenheit.
• Work in area with ambient temperatures around 80–85 °F.
• Maintain tactile awareness to detect burns and other hazards.
• Work on elevated platform around 2 1/2 feet high.
• Frequently bend and twist at the waist.

Responsibilities

• Communicate to operators on other shifts regarding production.
• Operate various machines and make simple adjustments; touch‑up cleaning of cavities in press.
• Assemble component parts according to procedures.
• Grease and oil parts.
• Review process sheets and quality drawings for conformance.
• Inspect and sort parts using basic and precision measuring devices; record data.
• Take and record SPC readings during production.
• Inform proper persons of discrepancies.
• Identify defective parts and relocate them appropriately.
• Prepare packaging materials and labels.
• Pack parts in preparation for shipment.
• Record information on bin tickets and production logs.
• Clean equipment and work area.
• Review scrap racks and logs to monitor press performance.
• Move new metals to inspection areas.
• Place rubber prep around rubber plugs and apply mold solutions.
• Prepare molding materials and stock (metal, rubber, teflon).
• Load metals and stock into cavities and run the press.
• Remove molded parts from cavities manually or with knockouts.
• Record defects on quality charts and document press performance.
• Use air tools to remove flash from cavities.
• Verify batch and job numbers; log discrepancies and sample for microhardness.
