Job summary

Coca-Cola UNITED is seeking a Production Operator III in Mobile, AL to run continuous motion packaging, filling, and palletizing equipment with an emphasis on quality and efficiency. The role requires leading a production team and ensuring safe, reliable operations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Operate and troubleshoot intermediate packaging equipment.
  • Identify and resolve line bottlenecks and communicate issues to maintenance.
  • Perform product and package changeovers on multiple equipment pieces.
  • Maintain safety and clean work environment per ISO GMP standards.
  • Use shop floor data systems to document production metrics.

Job Description

The Production Operator III is responsible for producing quality product while running continuous motion packaging, filling, and palletizing equipment efficiently and safely by performing the following duties and the ability to lead production work team.

What Your Day Will Look Like
  • Operate and perform intermediate troubleshooting on equipment
  • Identify and resolve line bottlenecks; be able to effectively communicate equipment issues to maintenance personnel
  • Perform product change over without assistance
  • Perform package change over without assistance on multiple pieces of equipment
  • Be capable of operating equipment on multiple package platforms
  • Communicate effectively using radio devices in the shop
  • Prepare quality check sheets and conduct pre-production checklists
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment in accordance with ISO GMP standards
  • Proficient and effective use of shop floor data management systems

  • Minimum age 18 years old
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
  • Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
  • Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
  • Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 12 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Willingness to work weekends, holidays, or flexible schedule as required
  • Effective leadership skills and problem-solving skills

Physical Requirements

Position will be required to comply with the CCBCU Personal Protective Equipment Program. Position is required to wear safety toed shoes when performing the following tasks: Operating Powered Industrial Equipment or Working in an Area where Powered Industrial Equipment is in use, Fleet Maintenance, Working with Palletized Product, Use of Hand Trucks/Dollies to Deliver Product, Cooler Services, etc.
