Job summary

Utah Flour Milling dba Greenfield Milling is seeking a Production Operator I to package finished products in a safe, clean environment. You will follow GMP, HACCP and company policies, operate packaging lines, and interact with the scheduler, quality team, maintenance, and packers to communicate workflow and milling schedules.

You will pull samples, run tests, monitor weights, and ensure proper bagging, sealing and palletizing.

Qualifications

• Strong reading, writing and math abilities to handle documentation and data entry.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for teamwork.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and maintain accuracy.
• English language skills (verbal and written) required.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and process control.
• Willingness to operate forklifts and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Package finished products and ensure bags are sealed and palletized properly.
• Set and monitor packer weights to meet specifications.
• Perform metal detector checks and notify about substandard conditions.
• Pull samples for weight and lab testing throughout runs.
• Maintain sanitation of packing areas and assist with sanitation duties.
• Train new and existing personnel in packaging functions.
• Drive forklifts to move materials as needed.
• Communicate workflow and equipment issues with scheduler and quality team.

Job description
