Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows-based applications.
  • Familiar with Keen, Industry (GAWDA), US FDA guidelines applicable to filling industrial, medical and specialty gases.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect cylinders prior to filling, following standard operating procedures and Keen Pre-Fill requirements; evacuate cylinders to eliminate contaminants.
  • Fill cylinders by pressure/temperature or gravimetrically per regulations, industry standards and company procedures.
  • Ensure cylinders are properly prepared for shipping with proper product labels per GHS standards, lot labeling, valve shrink wrapping, and quality certs as required.
  • Complete production control records as required in a timely manner at the time of production.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area (i.e., manifold) and dispose of dust, trash and contaminants.
  • Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the manager.

Job Summary

Qualified Operators are responsible for the safe and accurate filling of liquefied and high-pressure gas cylinders, including pure and multi-component gases. Operators must follow established quality and conformance specifications in compliance with DOT, FDA, industry, and company requirements to ensure product quality, safety, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.

Job Responsibilities
  • Inspect cylinders prior to filling, following standard operating procedures as required by industry standards and Keen Pre-Fill requirements; evacuation of cylinders to eliminate contaminants.
  • Fill cylinders by pressure/temperature or gravimetrically per regulations, industry standards and company procedures.
  • Ensure cylinders are properly prepared for shipping to include proper product labels per GHS standards, lot labeling, valve shrink wrapping, and quality certs as required.
  • Complete production control records as required in a timely at the time of production.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area (i.e., manifold) to include proper disposal of dust, trash and any item which introduces a contaminant (i.e., oil, grease, hydrocarbon, food-based allergen) that may interact with the fill process or cylinders being filled.
  • Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the manager.
Operator Levels:
  • Operator I: Liquefied Propane & Propylene
  • Operator II: Liquefied Industrial (Ar, CO2, N2, and O2)
  • Operator III: Level II and Liquefied Medical (CO2, N2, N2O and O2)
  • Operator IV: Industrial/Medical High Pressure Automated and Manual Swing Arm Manifolds A - H
  • Operator V: Industrial/Medical/VHP Pure Gases and Multicomponent Mixtures in Cylinders and Banks by Pressure Temperature or Gravimetrically on Manifolds J, K, R, W, X, Y
  • Qualifications as Level I through Filler V are detailed in the Employee Training Matrix.
Job Requirements:
  • Familiar with Keen, Industry (GAWDA), US Food and Drug Administration guidelines applicable to filling industrial, medical and specialty gases.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively across departments.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow safety rules, operating instructions, policies, and procedures in English.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
Job Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows-based applications.
Safety Requirements:
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Complete required safety training and maintain applicable certifications.
  • Safely operate equipment and report unsafe conditions, incidents, or hazards promptly.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work environment.
  • Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 70 pounds, occasionally lift more with assistance.
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel, and crawl for extended periods.
  • Comfort working in environments with exposure to loud noises, dust, fumes, or vibrations.
