Job summary

RayzeBio is seeking a Production Operator I to join our GMP‑compliant manufacturing team in Indianapolis. You will execute production of RayzeBio drug products, support validation activities, and help maintain a safe, efficient production area for clinical and commercial radiopharmaceuticals.

Ideal candidates have laboratory experience, familiarity with GMP, aseptic techniques, and the ability to work under pressure to meet production schedules.

Qualifications

  • Experience in GMP‑regulated environment.
  • Laboratory experience including pipetting and laminar flow hoods.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or equivalent.
  • Experience with radiochemistry or radiopharmaceuticals preferred.

Summary

The Operator 1, reporting to the Manager, Production plays a critical role in delivering RayzeBio’s innovative radiopharmaceutical products to patients. This position supports the implementation and routine execution of a novel Finished Drug Product program manufacturing clinical and commercial‑scale radioisotopes.

Job Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Execute production of RayzeBio drug products (including raw material preparation, line clearance and cleaning, equipment/instrument setup, etc.) while ensuring compliance with cGMP, aseptic practice, and management expectations.
  • Support and execute validation activities for clinical and commercial manufacturing.
  • Support process improvements, both internally and cross-functionally, as opportunities present.
  • Support department with inventory management, including cleaning supplies and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Support day-to-day production operations, and upkeep of the production area.
  • Promote a culture of safety and compliance with EHS and Radiation Safety programs.

Education and Experience:

  • Previous experience working in a laboratory setting, particularly with pipetting and laminar flow hoods.
  • 1-4 years of experience operating in a GMP‑regulated environment.
  • Experience operating aseptically within ISO 7/Class C strongly preferred.
  • Experience with radiochemistry and/or radiopharmaceuticals strongly preferred.
  • Hands‑on experience working in hot cells and/or gloveboxes strongly preferred.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Skills and Qualification:

  • Strong knowledge of GMP practice.
  • Knowledge of radiation safety principles.
  • Excellent professional ethics, integrity, and ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Well organized and detail oriented.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Motivated, adaptable, and able to work under pressure while meeting the needs of the production schedule.
  • Uses AI tools to enhance individual productivity and quality of work

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision. Must be willing to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) for long periods.

This is a position that requires working in a laboratory environment, protective clothing, gloves, and safety glasses are required while working in a laboratory environment with radioactive materials.

Work Environment:

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Compensation Overview:

Indianapolis - RayzeBio - IN: $31.07 - $37.64per hour

The starting pay range(s) listed above is for full-time employees (FTE). You may also be eligible for additional discretionary incentive cash and stock opportunities. We determine starting pay thoughtfully – carefully considering the nature of the role, required skills, work location, schedule and the knowledge and experience you bring. Final compensation is guided by pay equity principles and applicable employment laws. Compensation programs are reviewed on an ongoing basis and may be adjusted over time to reflect evolving market factors, and individual, team or Company performance.

U.S.-based exempt employees are eligible for Flexible Time Off (FTO), which provides paid time off without a set accrual limit, subject to manager approval, along with 11 paid company holidays each year.


Non-exempt employees, RayzeBio employees, and employees located in Puerto Rico receive 160 hours of paid vacation annually for new hires (subject to manager approval), 11 paid company holidays, and 3 optional holidays.


Depending on eligibility, employees may also have access to additional time-off benefits, including paid sick leave, up to two paid volunteer days per year, summer hours flexibility, and leaves of absence for medical, personal, parental, caregiver, bereavement, or military needs. Eligible employees also enjoy an annual Global Shutdown between Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
