Job summary

Role Overview

The Production Operator I supports safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations by operating and maintaining production processes within established standards. This role contributes to operational reliability through equipment monitoring, data collection, and adherence to approved procedures. The position supports continuous improvement by identifying issues, assisting with process changes, and promoting a strong safety culture. Success in this role requires hands-on execution, attention to detail, and effective collaboration within production teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain assigned production equipment in accordance with approved procedures and safety requirements.
• Adjust operating conditions within established limits to meet performance, quality, and throughput standards.
• Collect, document, and verify process data, samples, and observations as required by operating instructions.
• Identify, report, and escape equipment, process, safety, and environmental issues in a timely manner.
• Perform production support activities, including equipment cleaning, material handling, and participation in team initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 0–3 years of experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial operations environment.
• Ability to safely perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50–75 pounds and standing or walking for extended periods.
• Ability to follow written procedures, batch sheets, and safety requirements with consistency and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating process or chemical manufacturing equipment.
• Forklift or pallet jack operating experience or certification.
• Mechanical aptitude for basic equipment cleaning, teardown, or troubleshooting.
• Experience working 12- hour shifts or rotating schedules in a production environment.
