Job summary

Airgas in Overland Park, KS, is seeking a Production Operator to support safe, efficient operation of filling equipment and related systems. You will monitor stations, perform quality checks, and contribute to a clean, organized work area in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include cylinder preparation, logs and records, and teamwork with colleagues to reach daily production goals while adhering to PPE requirements and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and perform physical tasks.
• Basic math skills and reading comprehension.
• Strong attention to detail and safety commitment.
• Teamwork and ability to work in a production line.
• Forklift operation ability and certification encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production equipment including filling stations and pumps.
• Perform quality checks on products and inspect cylinders.
• Load/unload cylinders and materials using forklifts or pallet jacks.
• Prepare cylinders (inspection, cleaning, labeling) per specs.
• Maintain accurate production logs and inventory records.
• Participate in safety meetings and uphold PPE and housekeeping standards.
