Champion Petfoods is seeking a Production Operator for 1st shift (Dry) in Auburn, KY. You will work with supervisors to plan runs, manage ingredient inventory, unload trucks, and operate grinding and packaging equipment safely.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2-3 years’ manufacturing experience or equivalent military experience or college degree.
• Experience operating food processing machinery preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to handle tools and paperwork.
• Proven leadership and interpersonal skills; able to work independently or in a team.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Confer with Supervisor/Team Leader to determine production runs and packaging requirements.
• Perform daily inventory of dry and fresh ingredients and record levels.
• Unload trucks and complete receiving and inventory transactions.
• Operate heavy machinery including grinding equipment for meats and packaging equipment safely.
• Maintain professional relationships with production staff and participate in inventory activities.
• Keep work area neat and organized per policies and safety regulations.
• Perform other assignments as required.
