Job summary

BlueScope Buildings North America, Inc. seeks a Machine Operator 5 to work under limited supervision, fabricating material with complex equipment and computerized controls.

You will read blueprints/diagrams and operate a range of machinery, including robotic and computer-controlled systems, ensuring efficient production through data-driven operations. In this role, you will download specifications, monitor processes, and maintain quality while adhering to safety standards.

Job Summary

Under limited supervision, the Machine Operator 5 works independently and uses judgement to fabricate material using equipment with a high degree of complexity and computerized controls. The Machine Operator 5 reads and interprets blueprints and diagrams and operates a variety of equipment involved in daily manufacturing processes, including robotic, computer‑controlled, automatic, or semi‑automatic machines. The Machine Operator 5 performs computer downloads containing specifications that direct the machine to operate efficiently.
