Job summary

AM General LLC is hiring Production Employees to support HMWWV and JLTV A2 production. Hourly employees are represented by the UAW, and the Company and the Union work together to create a productive workforce.

New hires start at 5:00 am, must lift 50 lbs, read and follow standardized work, and maintain consistent attendance in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. The position offers diverse job opportunities with ongoing training and safety commitments.

Qualifications

Able to read and follow standardized work and job instructions.
Must have basic computer skills.
Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain regular attendance/punctuality.
Previous manufacturing experience is preferred.
May be required to learn multiple jobs.
Must be able to use hand tools, power tools, and torque tools.

Responsibilities

Assemble and drill parts per standardized work and instructions.
Confirm quality of work performed.
Operate equipment within the facility as required.
May operate material handling equipment including forklifts.
Work with others in the shift and attend zone meetings and trainings.
Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.

Requirements & Skills

Must be able to work on a contract basis for the first 30 days. That time will be credited toward any benefits with a time worked requirement
Must be able to read and follow standardized work and job instructions
Must have basic computer skills
Previous manufacturing experience is preferred
Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Maintain regular attendance and punctuality
Communicate effectively with other employees in assigned zone and attend all zone meetings, problem solving sessions, training, etc.
May be required to learn multiple jobs
Must be able to use assigned hand tools, power tools, and torque tools
Shift start time 5:00 am

Primary Duties Include
