Job summary

IBC Group is seeking a full-time production worker to join the coatings production team. You will follow work orders, prepare parts for coating processes, and help maintain a clean, safe workplace. The role requires basic computer skills, ability to lift 50 lbs, stand long hours, and willingness to work any shift including overtime.

Prior forklift or overhead crane experience is a plus. All employment is contingent on background and drug testing; U.S.

• Willingness to work any shift and overtime as needed.
• U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status required.

Responsibilities

• Receive, process, and follow customer work orders using our internal tracking system.
• Prepare customer parts for coatings processes: fixturing, blasting, power washing, polishing, grinding, cleaning, masking, etc.
• Complete work order steps and record work hours, part counts, and equipment numbers.
• Assist in maintaining facility cleanliness and safety in the department.
• Follow OSHA, EPA, and company safety/quality regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Back-up driver for S&R department.
• Work the schedule assigned by the department supervisor and inform when overtime is approaching.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Wear personal protective equipment while performing basic job functions: face shields, half and/or full-face respirators, latex and nitrile gloves, leather-palmed gloves, ear protection, eye protection, steel-toed, anti-slip boots, etc.
2. Receive, process, and/or follow customer work orders using our internal tracking system.
3. Prepare customer parts for coatings processes: fixturing, blasting, power washing, polishing, grinding, cleaning, masking, etc.
4. Complete work order steps and record work as required (i.e. equipment numbers, part count verification, number of hours to complete task, initial and date, etc.).
5. Assist in maintaining facility cleanliness through regular inspection and cleaning of your department.
6. Work the schedule assigned to you by your department supervisor and inform supervisor when overtime threshold is approaching (over 40 hours weekly).
7. With the permission of your direct supervisor, assist with the workload of other departments during downtime.
8. Back-up driver for S&R department.
9. Follow all OSHA, EPA, and company safety/quality regulations, policies, and procedures.

Job Requirements:

1. U.S. citizenship or permanent resident (green card) required.
2. Minimum high school diploma or GED.
3. Basic computer skills/knowledge required.
4. Willingness to work any shift and overtime hours as needed.
5. Must be able to work with hands and hand tools.
6. Must be able to pick-up and carry 50 lbs. daily.
7. Must be able to stand for long periods of time on concrete warehouse floor.
8. Attention to details and ability to follow directions is paramount.
9. Ability to reprioritize daily tasks upon the direction of management.
10. Ability to obtain For-Hire license.
11. Forklift experience is a plus.
12. Overhead crane experience is a plus.
13. All employment at IBC is conditional upon results from background and drug testing.
