Job summary

Fresh Roasted Coffee LLC. in Sunbury, PA is seeking a Coffee Bagger to operate the bagging line on the 3rd shift. You will fill bags to the target weight, seal and label, and perform weight checks and sanitation steps to keep the line in spec.

Candidates should be able to read and document in English, lift up to 50 pounds, stand all shift, and have prior experience in food or coffee manufacturing. We offer health benefits and PTO after 90 days.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and complete written documentation in English (daily record keeping is a core part of this job, not an occasional task).
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Comfort operating production machinery.
• Prior experience in food, beverage, or coffee manufacturing.
• Familiarity with GMPs, HACCP, or SQF.
• Stand and walk for the full shift.
• Lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Bend, reach, twist, and perform repetitive motions.
• Work in an environment with moving machinery, coffee dust, noise, and varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Operate the coffee bagging machine to fill bags to the correct target weight.
• Feed filled bags through the vertical band sealer and verify seals.
• Perform routine weight checks and seal integrity checks during the shift.
• Verify correct bag, label, lot code, and date code during production.
• Load bagging film, labels, and packaging materials and adjust the machine as needed.
• Case pack, stack, and stage finished product for the warehouse team.
• Complete full end of shift cleaning of equipment and work area.
• Accurately complete daily production and sanitation records.
• Follow GMPs, food defense practices, and safety rules; support audits.

Job Title: Coffee Bagger

Location: Sunbury, PA

Job Type: Full-Time

Shift: 3rd Shift

Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

Job Overview:

Run the bagging line

• Operate the coffee bagging machine to fill bags to the correct target weight
• Feed filled bags through the vertical band sealer and confirm every seal is clean, complete, and free of coffee, oil, or wrinkles
• Perform routine weight checks and seal integrity checks throughout the shift and correct the line when it drifts out of spec
• Verify that the correct bag, label, lot code, and date code are running before and during each production run
• Load bagging film, labels, and packaging materials and make basic machine adjustments as needed
• Case pack, stack, and stage finished product for the warehouse team

Clean and sanitize the equipment

• Complete full end of shift cleaning of the bagging machine, band sealer, hoppers, contact surfaces, and surrounding work area
• Keep the work area organized and audit ready at all times

Complete the paperwork

• Accurately complete daily production and output records
• Accurately complete daily sanitation records confirming what was cleaned, when, and by whom

Follow food safety requirements

• Follow all GMPs, food defense practices, and safety rules
• Support SQF audits and internal inspections by keeping records current and complete
