Job summary

Rust-Oleum is seeking a Production Associate to operate and monitor filling and packaging equipment, ensuring on-time delivery and accurate production records. The role emphasizes maintaining quality, adjusting equipment for efficiency, and performing basic maintenance across shifts.

Candidates should have 1–3 years of related experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to lift 50 pounds. The position is full-time and in-person at our facility with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of related experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to read and understand various meters, scales and electronic read outs.
• Ability to enter computer data.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to solve problems in a team environment.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Review job orders to determine details such as quantities to be filled, production times, stock specifications, BOM's, and SKU sequences.
• Set and adjust speed, temperature, product flow, positions and tolerances of equipment.
• Operate equipment at most efficient speed to ensure proper quality and output.
• Monitor filling equipment to maintain specified operating levels and to detect malfunctions, making adjustments as necessary.
• Stop machines when malfunctions occur, clear jams, and report unresolved malfunctions to a machine operator, lead, maintenance, and then management.
• Change over or adjust equipment to improve performance and quality, using knobs, hand wheels, and/or hand tools.
• Inspect and examine products for quality, packaging accuracy, conformance to specifications, and external defects.
• Secure finished packaged items by gluing, stapling, wrapping, taping, or attaching fastener.
• Load and unload materials, product, or packaging from machines, containers, conveyors, and conveyances.
• Perform TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) per requirements.
