Job summary

Viant Medical in Wisconsin is seeking a Production Operator for the 2nd shift (3:30pm-12am). You will operate assigned machines, produce and inspect parts per work instructions, and maintain GMP/ISO 13485 documentation.

Responsibilities include visual inspection, data reporting, coordinating with mold technicians, trimming excess plastic, and packaging parts. Requirements include a high school diploma and at least one year in manufacturing; injection molding background is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of one year experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Injection molding background is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work well independently and with fellow team members.
• Attention to detail and quality procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines while maintaining productivity, efficiency and product quality.
• Perform visual inspection and testing to ensure all products meet quality standards.
• Reporting data collection and coordinating with mold techs or maintenance for machine errors.
• Separate parts from runners by visually examining for: flow lines, long gates, shorts, splaying, flash, etc.
• Uses visual inspection and automated equipment to check conformance to customer requirements.
• Drive the continuous flow of product from the injection molding machines to all other work areas.
• Document hourly and daily production numbers to supervisor using good documentation practices.
• Package parts in bags, totes or boxes as applicable.
• Provide breaks as required by lead or supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.

About the role:

As a Production Operator you will be responsible for ensuring that assigned machines/equipment produce product at or above department standards. Responsible to produce, assemble, inspect and pack all parts as per the work instructions for each assigned task or machine. Maintain all required paperwork and documentation to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and ISO 13485:2016 standards.
