Job summary

Airgas, a leading U.S. supplier of industrial gases, is seeking a Production Operator Filler in Austin, TX. You will make and/or repackage and pump gases into cylinders, performing pre-fill and post-fill inspections and maintaining accurate filling records.

The role emphasizes safety, proper capacity filling, and adherence to procedures, with benefits and scheduled Monday–Friday work hours. Candidates must be able to lift substantial weights and operate a forklift as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain a valid forklift operator’s license.
• Regularly lift up to 60 pounds and occasionally move up to 125 pounds with the aid of handling equipment.
• Candidates must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 4:00 am to 12:00 pm

You will make and/or repackage and pump compressed and liquefied gases into cylinders. In particular, you will:

• Conduct pre-fill and post-fill inspections and preform tests on cylinders before they are released for distribution.
• Fill cylinders to the proper capacity by following safety guidelines and manufacturing procedures.
• Accurately maintain cylinder filling records and ensure all required procedures are followed in order to comply with local, state and federal regulations.

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to obtain a valid forklift operator’s license.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 60 pounds and occasionally move up to 125 pounds with the aid of material handling equipment.
• Candidates must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• This position is not open for non-immigrant visa sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior forklift experience
• Prior gas cylinder handling and filling experience
• Prior industry experience
