Title: Production Operator- Day Shift

Zoltek-Toray Group is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team in St. Peters, MO as Production Operators in our Carbon Fiber Composite Intermediates facility. Zoltek produces essential products based on the definition designated by the CISA (Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, a division of the US Department of Homeland Security). Our St. Peters facility supplies global products to wind turbine generators for renewable energy. Manufacturing pultrusion materials is a key component of wind turbine blades, supporting the US energy infrastructure.

• Compensation: Starting rate is $18.69/hr, with opportunities for performance-based increases.
• Home/Work Life Balance: Full-time positions with 12-hour shifts. Day shift is 5:45 AM to 6:00 PM. Work schedule alternates every 2 weeks: 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off, resulting in a 3-day weekend every other week and some overtime.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate equipment to process carbon fiber for composite products.
• Resin/polymer mixing and batch preparation.
• Feed batch carbon fiber into machines, inspect products during and after production.
• Restock materials, package, label, and document products.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area, participate in safety culture.
• Communicate effectively with shift supervisor, foreman, and co-workers.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least 1 year experience in manufacturing or a factory environment; experience in chemicals/plastics is a plus.
• Ability to perform basic math, interpret documents, follow procedures, and communicate effectively.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems in a production environment.
• Commitment to safety, ethics, and teamwork.

Physical Requirements:

• Lift 25+ pounds overhead.
• Stand for up to 12 hours.
• Able to lift, turn, bend, reach, pull, and walk.
• Wear respirator (no facial hair).
• Read, write, speak, and understand English.
