Job summary

AkzoNobel in Clearwater, FL is seeking a Production Operator to perform daily production and warehouse tasks, manage inventory in SAP, and ensure safety and quality targets are met. The role requires forklift operation and the ability to lift heavy materials, with training and ongoing coaching provided.

Responsibilities include data collection, process updates, and coordination of daily priorities, while adhering to HSE standards and company policies.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow safety instructions and guidelines; ability to pass forklift test and operate forklift safely and effectively.
  • Ability to read labels and perform accurate measurement and weighing.
  • Ability to lift and handle heavy materials (e.g., up to 75 lbs, 60 lb bags, and drums up to 600 lbs).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with English proficiency and basic Microsoft Office knowledge preferred.
  • High school diploma with prior manufacturing experience (paint manufacturing preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Performs daily production and warehouse tasks, including process data collection, administration, and system updates in accordance with established procedures.
  • Uses SAP to accurately manage inventory, including shipping, receiving, tracking, and reporting warehouse transactions.
  • Ensures all warehouse and production targets are met while maintaining required quality, safety, and efficiency standards.Reports safety, quality, equipment, or process issues promptly to the Team Leader, Supervisor, or Manager.
  • Operates forklifts safely and efficiently in accordance with certification requirements and operating procedures.
  • Ensures accurate picking, checking, packing, labeling, and handling of materials and finished goods.
  • Performs inventory counts, adjustments (when authorized), and supports continuous inventory accuracy.
  • Maintains compliance with HSE, safety, security, and all applicable federal and state regulatory requirements.
  • Supports workforce coordination by assigning tasks, ensuring break/lunch compliance, and assisting with daily operational priorities.
  • Trains, coaches, and supports team members on proper handling, storage, housekeeping, and operational discipline while actively participating in HSE and continuous improvement initiatives.

The Production Operator executes assigned production and warehouse tasks in accordance with established procedures to ensure safe operations, consistent product quality, reliable service levels, and cost efficiency while maintaining compliance with HSE standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

Total Compensation
  • The hourly range for these skills is: $18.50/hr. + 3% Annual Bonus
