Job summary

Oldcastle APG in Texas is hiring for a full-time Maintenance/Mechanics role. You will operate plant machinery and equipment per safety policies to produce a superior product, read specifications, monitor dryers, and perform routine maintenance.

This position requires a high school diploma or GED (or 0–6 months related experience), ability to read manuals, self-motivation, basic math, accuracy, and the stamina to stand long hours and lift up to 70 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 0–6 months related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating manuals, and procedure documents.
• Ability to be a self-starter and work independently.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic for measurements and quantities.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy in all tasks.
• Must stand for extended periods.
• Must lift/move up to 70 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Observe dryer operation and adjust to maintain set parameters.
• Complete labor tasks as assigned.

Job Summary

Job Responsibilities

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent, or one tosix months of related experience in trades specific to job requirements, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals
• Ability to be a self-starter and work independently
• Ability to add, subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
• Maintain a high level of accuracy in all aspects of work assignments
• While performing the duties of this job the employee will be required to frequently stand on their feet for extended periods of time
• Must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 70 lbs
