Job summary

Anchor Packaging, a Georgia Pacific company, is seeking Production Operators for our Paragould, AR facility. You will ensure efficient production and packaging of quality products, maintain GMPs, and support a team-focused environment.

The role involves operating thermoforming equipment, troubleshooting, and performing changeovers while complying with safety policies. Shifts include day and night, with a $0.75 night differential and the ability to lift up to 70 lbs in a loud, high-volume setting.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in manufacturing or similar environments.
• Experience using a computer/tablet/smartphone.

Responsibilities

• Operate thermoforming equipment including extruders, ovens, former and trim press to target efficiencies and quality while adhering to GMPs.
• Troubleshoot and adjust thermoforming equipment settings.
• Conduct visual inspections and testing to ensure product quality meets standards.
• Retrieve and enter product information using a computer.
• Ensure labels and packaging materials match work orders.
• Assist with changeovers and minor preventive maintenance.
• Promote timely and effective communication with packers, operators, supervisors and support staff.
• Follow safety policies and critical safety behaviors; ensure team adherence.
• Perform tasks such as lifting up to 70 lbs and working up to 12 hours in a loud, high-volume environment.

The Production Operator's primary responsibility is to ensure efficient production and packaging of a quality product at the appropriate cost all the while maintaining or enhancing employee morale.

Pay

$22.00 - $24.00 with $0.75 shift differential for nights

Shifts Available

• Night Shift: 6:55pm to 7:00am
• Day Shift: 6:55am to 7:00pm

What You Will Do

• Operate thermoforming equipment including extruders, ovens, former and trim press at targeted efficiencies while maintaining product quality while following all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
• Troubleshoot and adjust thermoforming equipment settings
• Ensure the quality of the product meets standards through visual inspections and testing equipment
• Use a computer to retrieve and enter product information
• Ensure labels and packaging materials match product and work orders
• Assist with changeovers and minor PMs
• Promote timely and effective communication between packers, other operators, supervisors, and support staff
• Follow and maintain all safety policies and critical safety behaviors while ensuring assigned team members adhere to the same safety standards.
• Perform tasks such as lifting up to 70lbs, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day, in a loud/noisy, and industrial, high-volume environment

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• One (1) or more years of experience working in a manufacturing, warehouse, automotive, agricultural, or military environment
• Experience working with a computer, tablet, or smartphone

What Will Put You Ahead

• Three (3) or more years of experience working in a manufacturing, warehouse, automotive, agricultural, or military environment
