Job summary

Oklahoma State Fair, Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Production Operator to support onsite media services for events, including video production, audio, and marquee messaging.

You will operate cameras and control room equipment, assist in other areas as needed, and carry out duties assigned by the Production Assistant. The role requires strong technical skills, reliability, and the ability to work evenings and weekends during peak periods.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience with audio and video systems.
  • Demonstrated sound organizational coordinating and personal interface skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of electronics and electrical systems, audio and video systems, lighting systems, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of lighting systems, CCTV, Broadcast TV, Scoreboard and electrical systems.
  • Working knowledge of non-linear video editing systems, specifically New Tek TriCaster video playback, replay, cameras and related hardware.
  • Knowledge of all software- and hardware-related computer issues.
  • A wide knowledge base of audio, lighting, broadcast and video equipment used for live event production.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, TriCaster and other related software.
  • Proven experience with video/matrix boards at a fast-paced arena or similar event venue.

Job Responsibilities

  • Possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Speak, read and write in English.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
  • Extended hours, nights and weekends may be required during peak periods.
  • Frequent or continual movement from place to place with normal physical mobility, covering long distances with ease, managing assigned tasks throughout various indoor and outdoor locations within and around the property and in potentially inclement/severe weather conditions.
  • Regularly lift, carry and put away items weighing up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lift and carry heavier items and/or assist others in lifting heavier objects, as job demands.
  • Walk and/or stand for extended periods in addition to other prolonged physical exertions including seeing, hearing, reaching, grasping, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting, crouching, stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing and working in awkward positions and tight areas may be required.
