Job summary

Continental in Norfolk, NE is seeking production personnel for a 12-hour rotating shift schedule. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and teamwork in a manufacturing setting.

You will operate production equipment, read specifications, record data, and help maintain tooling while adhering to safety and certification requirements. Applicants must be 18+, legally eligible to work in the U.S., and prepared for weekend rotations.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old.
• Able to lift 25 to 50 lbs.
• Willing to work every other weekend on 12-hour rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment and follow quality procedures.
• Read hose specifications and use micrometers, calipers and testing equipment.
• Record and maintain production data per specifications.
• Assist in maintenance of tooling and equipment.
• Identify and solve production problems to improve flow and safety.
• Support safety policies and maintain required certifications.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

• Demonstrate awareness and concern for the safety of self and others thru adherence of safety policies and procedures and maintaining certifications for plant safety
• Maintain consistent and on time attendance
• Operate production equipment and adhere to quality procedures
• Use/read hose specification & measuring equipment as required (micrometers, calipers and testing equipment)
• Record and maintain production data in accordance with specifications and quality policies.
• Assist in maintenance of tooling and equipment
• Attention to detail, meeting and/or exceed quality standards in work
• Identify and solve production problems to improve process and product flow
• Recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and safety
• Actively participate in team meetings and activities
• Value teamwork and demonstrate skills necessary to be an effective team member
• Flexible and creative with enthusiasm for change and high commitment level
• Required to learn and maintain multiple job certifications and perform a variety of tasks
• Self-motivated/high energy with passion for quality workmanship
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Other duties as necessary
• Qualifying applicants will be required to successfully pass a phone interview, interview and additional pre-hire checks before hire.

THE ENVIRONMENT

• Safety is our highest priority with an expectation that safety procedures/guidelines/policies are adhered to inclusive of safety wear such as safety glasses, safety shoes and ear plus
• Work Schedule:12-hour rotating schedule. In a 28 day period of time there are 14 working days and 14 days off.
• Starting Wage Per Hour:
• $22.85
• $23.93 when working nights 6pm to 6am & weekends 6am to 6pm
• $25.01 when working weekends nights 6pm to 6am

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

• Must be 18 years old
• Able to Lift 25 to 50 lbs.
• Willing to work every other weekend 12 hour rotating shifts (days to nights)
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future for this job opening
• Continental is not able to pay relocation expenses for this opportunity
