Production Operator - 2-2-3 Schedule

New Start Pay
  • $22.50/hour + $0.75 schedule premium (just for 2-2-3 schedule)
  • $23.50 at 90 days + $0.75 schedule premium (just for 2-2-3 schedule)
  • $24.50 at 1 year + $0.75 schedule premium (just for 2-2-3 schedule)
Main Responsibilities
  • Set Up and Operate Machines
  • Follow Specification for Insulation Wire
  • Inspect Finished Products and Testing
  • Maintain Work Area Clean
  • Comply with PPE and Safety Requirements

Responsible for producing insulated wire, including loading and unloading reels manually; stringing up machines; setting machine and take-up controls for proper operation; ensuring proper chemical flow; troubleshooting machine and quality problems.

  • Set tape overlap and registration
  • Monitor product packaging
  • Tag and identify finished products
  • Utilize material handling equipment
  • Operate welding and swaging devices
  • Perform safety inspections
  • Maintain material supply

Minimum Qualifications
  • Manufacturing Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent manufacturing experience, with at least 3 years of total related experience
  • High School Diploma – GED
  • Knowledge of safety, distribution, and manufacturing best practices
  • Mechanical and hands‑on experience with basic hand tools and measuring devices, verified through work history and references
  • We are looking for candidates with a strong work ethic, reliability, and a demonstrated commitment to professional growth in a manufacturing setting
  • Reading and comprehension skills; ability to follow verbal and written instructions; ability to read and interpret process sheets and other production documents
  • Ability to adjust to changes in equipment/tools and modifications to existing equipment for the purposes of continuous improvement
  • Ability to operate micrometers and other production testing equipment
  • Ability to interpret test data and record on documents; basic computer skills
  • Ability to operate powered production equipment; ability to operate forklifts
  • Ability to follow safe work practices in a manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Preference for candidates demonstrating consistent work history
  • Preference for candidates with warehouse/forklift certification

  • Physical Demands:
    • Frequent manual pushing/pulling plastic reels up to 300 pounds suspended from a hoist.
    • Frequent manual rolling and turning plastic reels up to 300 pounds
    • Frequent standing, walking and bending
    • Frequent rolling and turning steel reels weighing up to 1,200# on steel plated floor
    • Frequently reads and interprets instructions and test data and visually inspects wire
    • Occasional reaching above shoulder level while pulling downward
    • Occasional use of stairs
  • Work Environment: Work performed in a manufacturing environment. Floors may be slippery due to steel plating.
