Job summary

Enpro seeks a skilled manufacturing technician for our Daytona Beach, FL facility. You will blend and deburr metal parts, inspect surfaces, prepare finishes, polish, and support assembly with laser marking and ultrasonic cleaning. A high school diploma is required.

Ideal candidates are familiar with air tools and measuring instruments, follow procedures, and work well in a team focused on continuous improvement in a 100% manufacturing environment. Safety glasses and steel-toed shoes are required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Blend and deburr, grind, file, or sand surfaces of metal parts.
• Inspect surfaces for dents, scratches, burrs, or breaks.
• Prepare surface and edges to specified finish; polish metal surfaces.
• Inspect own work and scribe parts to lines; blend to lines.
• Clean parts in ultrasonic tank; install hardware; mark parts with laser engraver.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary & Essential Functions:

The following describes in general terms the purpose and scope of the position.

• Blend and deburrs, grinds, files, or sands surfaces of metal parts.
• Examines surface of metal to detect defects such as dents, scratches, burrs or breaks in metal.
• Prepares surface of part and edges to specified finish.
• Polishes metal surface.
• Inspects own work.
• Scribe parts and then blend to the scribe lines.
• Clean parts in ultrasonic tank
• Install hardware into components
• Mark parts with laser engraver
• Other duties as assigned.

• Prior use of air tools and measuring instruments is preferred.
• Read and understand internal procedures and policies.
• Understand and follow through on both verbal and written instructions.

Work Environment and Safety Equipment Required:

• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Hand – eye coordination.
• Must be able to effectively communicate; talk or hear.
• Repetitive motion of hand and wrist.
• Frequently required to sit; to stoop or kneel; reach with hand and arms.
• Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
• Working conditions are: 100% manufacturing environment.
• Regularly required to work near moving mechanical parts; exposed to vibration of the hand; exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
• Safety glasses (ANSI Z87 compliant) and steel toed shoes required in all manufacturing areas.

Required Experience/Education/Training/Certifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess the outlined experience level, education, training, minimum years of experience, product or industry knowledge plus any certifications in order to be considered.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience; on the job training may be utilized
