Job summary

Land O'Lakes, Inc. is seeking a Production Operator to join our dairy manufacturing team. You will perform front-line production processes that add value and quality to inputs, operating machinery and packaging the final products for customers.

The role supports a 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM shift on a 2-2-3 rotation, with weekends, overtime and holidays as needed. Minimum 6 months manufacturing experience; strong teamwork and English literacy are essential.

Production Operator

WAGE: $27.55 per hour Shift & Working Hours: 6:00AM to 6:00PM (2-2-3 Rotation) Weekends/Overtime/Holidays as needed.

Role Focus: In this role, you will be a key member of our Land O'Lakes, Inc. manufacturing team, performing front-line production processes that add value and quality to the inputs and creation of final high-quality products. You will gain skills and experience of taking raw materials to produce our final products for customers. This will include operating machinery and equipment, packaging the final product. The Machine Operator (Butter) is the front-line employee who performs the manufacturing processes that add value and quality to the inputs and create the final high-quality final products. There are a variety of sub-classifications within the Operator job family that could range in specific duties from receiving and handling the raw materials, adding value through a variety of proprietary processes, to packaging the final product. In all stages of production safety, attention to detail, a quality and sanitation focus, and efficiency are key to the success of the operation. This role is part of our Dairy Food business who creates dairy products that stand for real, simple goodness. We believe there's power in every drop of milk our farmers produce, and by improving production and finding innovative uses for that milk, we add a little good to people's lives.

Required Experience and Skills

• Must be 18 years or older
• 6 plus months of manufacturing experience
• Basic computer and math skills

Preferred Experience

• 1+ year of manufacturing work experience
• Machine operation and/or forklift experience

Physical Requirements for production positions regularly include

• Able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
• Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements
• Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment
• Working in temperature zones that include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods and may include areas where dust and chemicals are present
