Job summary

TASUS in Bloomington, IN is seeking a QMA 1 to operate plastic injection molding machines, perform value-added work, inspect parts, and safely pack items for shipment. You will follow Standard Operating Procedures, complete shift paperwork, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Strong teamwork, attention to detail, and adherence to safety policies are essential in this role. Working in a manufacturing environment, you will stand for long periods, regularly lift up to 20 pounds

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work in team environment and maintain positive attitude.
  • Ability to work in a safe manner and follow safety policies and procedures.
  • Good attention to detail.

  • Ability to walk medium distances within press cycle times
  • Comply with department policies, procedures and work instructions including the TASUS Quality Management System
  • Must be able to take directions well.
  • Participate in monthly meetings and TPS projects.
  • Must be able to solve problems.

Job purpose
  • A QMA 1 is responsible for operating one or more plastic injection molding machines or auxiliary equipment. QMA will inspect, perform value added work and pack parts accordingly.
Duties and responsibilities
  • Safely perform assigned tasks completely and efficiently. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.

  • Complete shift/press paperwork as required

Working conditions
  • Manufacturing environment where Personal Protective Equipment is required.
  • Eight hours shifts, mandatory overtime when required

  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally maneuver up to 40 pounds.
  • Must be able to occasionally reach, bend, kneel and squat.
