Job summary

Manpower, Inc. in Ann Arbor, MI, is seeking a Production Operator to support a high-output manufacturing team on the production floor. You will load, run, and monitor CNC machines and robotic tending equipment to keep production moving.

The role emphasizes hands-on operation with a strong attention to detail, reliable attendance, and the ability to identify defects early. Shift options include 1st shift (5AM–6AM start) and 2nd shift (2:15PM–3:15PM start).

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Load, run, and monitor CNC machines and robotic tending equipment.

• Identify and flag defects or equipment issues early.
• Maintain standard work, accurate production records, and a clean, safe workstation.

Our client, a precision manufacturing organization is seeking a Production Operator to join their team. As a Production Operator, you will be part of the Production floor supporting a high-output manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on machine operation experience, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to communicate issues quickly and clearly, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Production Operator

Pay Range: $21/hour

Shift: 1st shift (5AM or 6AM start) & 2nd shift(2:15PM or 3:15PM start)

What's the Job?

• Load, run, and monitor CNC machines and robotic tending equipment through production cycles
• Support assembly operations on finished components
• Perform in-process and final quality inspection using measurement tools (calipers, gauges, scanners)
• Identify and flag defects, out‑of‑spec parts, or equipment issues before they become bigger problems
• Follow standard work, maintain accurate production records, and keep your workstation clean, organized, and safe

What's Needed?

• Some manufacturing experience preferred (CNC, robotics, assembly, or quality inspection background is a plus)
• Comfortable working with your hands and learning new equipment quickly
• Strong attention to detail to catch small issues early
• Reliable attendance and on‑time performance for a 1st shift schedule
• Ability to stand, lift (up to 35 lbs), and move around a production floor for a full shift
