The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Production Operator, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Supporting production by monitoring processes, ordering inputs, loading semi-finished materials, inspecting materials, and performing quality inspections to release product
• Operating automated production converting, assembly, and packaging equipment
• Monitoring processes, ordering inputs, loading semi-finished materials, inspecting materials, and performing quality inspections to release product
• Operating equipment safely and following plant and department safety rules and practices
• Working closely with other operators and service groups to optimize processes, including ensuring timely product flow
• Monitoring equipment and making necessary adjustments to maintain quality and desired output
• Using computers to run process operations
• Meeting performance and output goals

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed prior to start)
• Willing and able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as scheduled, including working 8 to 12-hour shifts on a rotating or fixed schedule

Applicants meeting these basic qualifications may be required to pass 3M's testing as part of the selection process

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed include:

• Ability to operate computers for process improvements
