Job summary

Agtegra Cooperative in Lebanon, SD, seeks a Production Operations - Agronomy/Grain Operator to support day-to-day agronomy and grain operations. You will assist with loading, unloading, and operating machinery, while delivering excellent service to customers and colleagues.

You will work with payloaders, skid loaders, tractors, locomotives, telehandlers, and forklifts, perform light maintenance, and record data in company systems.

Qualifications

• Diploma/GED or 0-1 year related experience.
• Valid driver's license with the ability to obtain a CDL.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to perform physical job duties including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in varied indoor/outdoor conditions with PPE.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery and equipment as required, including loaders and trucks.
• Load out chemical, seed or fertilizer to customers and handle grain tasks.
• Inspect facilities and perform light maintenance as needed.
• Monitor equipment and input data into computer systems.
• Provide customer service and support teamwork-focused operations.
• Follow safety regulations, OSHA/DOT policies, and company procedures.

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Operator to join our Agronomy and Grain Operations team. The Operator will be responsible for assisting the agronomy and grain departments day-to-day operation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Executing processes and operating machinery and equipment as required, including loading out chemical, seed or fertilizer to customers. This position involves the frequent operation of Payloaders, Skidloaders, Tractor/Mowers, Locomotives, Telehandlers and Forklifts.
• Executing processes and operating machinery and equipment as required, including loading and unloading trucks and railcars as well as other grain handling such as filling or reclaiming ground piles, transferring and blending.
• Inspecting buildings, grounds, and equipment utilized by the facility to troubleshoot, perform light maintenance, and complete repair work.
• Monitoring equipment, operating control systems, processing samples, and utilizing computer systems to input and record data as necessary.
• Interacting regularly with customers, peers, and management to provide exceptional customer service, pursue continuous improvement of facility operations, and promote a teamwork focused environment.
• Adheres to all safety regulations, requirements, policies and procedures, including OSHA regulations, the vehicle policy and fleet safety program and DOT regulations.
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma/GED or 0-1 year related experience; or combination of education and experience
• Valid driver's license with the ability to obtain a CDL.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including a respirator.
• Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
• Ability to work in confined spaces.
• Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts.
