Job summary

Turner Mining Group seeks a Production Foreman to lead a crew, manage shifts and oversee field production tasks. You will report to the Project Superintendent and ensure safety, efficiency, and equipment care while achieving project milestones.

Key duties include following TMG processes for daily entries in the Project Management System, submitting timecards, coordinating with supervision, and leading safety briefings.

Qualifications

• Supervise crew in field production tasks and ensure safety.
• Maintain daily field records and timecards.
• Coordinate with Superintendent and Project Engineer as needed.
• Ensure MSHA compliance and site safety.
• Use HeavyJob/Slack/Excel for reporting.

Responsibilities

• Follow TMG process for daily entries into Project Management System.
• Submit daily timecards that include employee time for payroll, equipment hours, and billable items.
• Include detailed notes in the project diary submission.
• Check grade with GPS unit to verify work completion when no Project Engineer is available.
• Ensure site conditions promote safety, efficiency, and minimize equipment wear/damage.
• Spend 50%+ of time in the field monitoring production activities.

Production Foreman

Manages a crew, shift, or specific task

Reports to Project Superintendent

Project Management

• Follow TMG process for daily entries into Project Management System
• Submit daily timecards that include employee time for payroll, equipment hours (operated, down, and standby), and quantities/ billable items for the shift
• Include detailed notes in the project diary submission
• Check grade with GPS unit to check work completion (when no Project Engineer)
• Ensure site conditions promote safety, efficiency, and minimize equipment wear/ damage
• 50% or more of time should be spent in the field monitoring production activities

Safety Leadership

• Lead pre-shift Safety meetings every shift with Superintendent, cover relevant safety topics and engage crews in discussion
• Ensure all MSHA regulations are followed and maintain site safety conditions
• Complete workplace exams before each shift
• Complete task training using 5000-23 forms utilizing the TMG process for form completion
• Follow TMG process for completing pre-op forms from employees, submit all paperwork to Superintendent
• Follow TMG process for incident response, notify Superintendent.

Personnel Management

• Notify Superintendent of personnel issues. Resolve issues requiring immediate attention.
• Maintain full knowledge of employee handbook
• Advise Superintendent on personnel needs/ changes.
• Advise Superintendent on employee performance for employee reviews
