Job summary

Kanto Corporation in Portland, OR is seeking a Material Handler - Production Support (Swing Shift) to move materials between the warehouse and production areas and to final packaging, ensuring timely production flow. You'll operate drum lifters, stretch-wrapping and scanning equipment, and use ERP inventory systems to track materials.

Safety protocols and accurate handoffs to the next shift are essential in this role. Swing Shift: 2:00 p.m.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of material handling experience in industrial production or warehouse environments.
• Minimum 1 year of experience using ERP or inventory management software and MS Word/Excel/Teams.
• Must complete Hazmat training per DOT 49 CFR 172.704 within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions and perform basic math.
• Physical ability to lift/move up to 70 lbs and work in industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Pull appropriate materials from schedule/bill of materials to support daily production.
• Stage and distribute materials to maintain continuous production during shift.
• Coordinate material swaps with Production Supervisor/Shift Lead and operators.
• Move chemical drums using a drum lifter from pallets.
• Operate stretch-wrapping equipment and scanning software for packaging and storage.
• Use a desktop to locate materials, research inventory issues, and provide daily passdowns.
