Production Manufacturing Operator
Overhead Door/Wayne Dalton in Pensacola, Florida is looking for a full-time Production Manufacturing Operator to join their team to assist in the operation of designated and assigned equipment and machinery including but not limited to the specific press, mill, down stacker, and uncoiler.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operation of the APBR Line to include: loading and unloading of coils, uncoiler
- Operation, adjustment and operation of steel straightener, feeder operation, press operation, turn on/off conveyors, mill adjustment and operation, down stacker operation, product changeovers, QC checks, and logging scrap
- Operation of the Retainer Line to include: loading and unloading of coils, uncoiler operation, adjustment and operation of steel straightener, feeder operation, press operation, rotary punch operation, turn on/off conveyors
- mill adjustment and operation, down stacker operation, product changeovers (Short J, Long J, Franz, Thermowayne, Stateman), QC checks, logging scrap and product labeling.
- Operation of the 3” U Bar Line to include: loading and unloading of coils, uncoiler operation, adjustment and operation of steel straightener, feeder operation, press operation, changing/pulling dies, turn on/off conveyors, mill adjustment and operation, down stacker operation, product changeovers, QC checks, logging scrap and product labeling.
- Operation of the 3-4 U Bar Line to include: loading and unloading of coils, uncoiler operation, adjustment and operation of steel straightener, feeder operation press operation, shear operation, turn on/off conveyors, mill adjustment and operation, mill changeovers to swap rafts, down stacker operation, product changeovers, QC checks, logging scrap and product labeling.
- Operation of the HS0-2/HS-3 Lines to include loading and unloading of coils, uncoiler operation, adjustment and operation of steel straightener, feeder operation, press operation, turn on/off conveyors, mill adjustment and operation, product stacking, product changeovers, QC checks, logging scrap and product/customer labeling
- Operation of the RSX/ 2” U Bar Lines to include: loading and unloading of coils, uncoiler operation, adjustment and operation of steel straightener, feeder operation, press operation, turn on/off conveyors, mill adjustment and operation, product stacking, product changeovers, QC checks, logging scrap and product/customer labeling.
- Operation of the 2” Horizontal Track Line to include: loading and unloading of coils, uncoiler operation, adjustment and operation of steel straightener, feeder operation, press operation, turn on/off conveyors, mill adjustment and operation, product stacking, product changeovers, QC checks, logging scrap and product labeling.
- Operation of the 2” Vertical Track Line to include: loading and unloading of coils, uncoiler operation, adjustment and operation of steel straightener, feeder operation, press operation, turn on/off conveyors, mill adjustment and operation, product stacking, product changeovers, QC checks, logging scrap and product labeling.
- Operation of Angle Line to include: loading and unloading of coils, uncoiler operation, adjustment and operation of steel straightener, feeder operation, splice welding, press operation, rotary punch operation, turn on/off conveyors, mill adjustment and operation, down stacker operation. Mill adjustment, and operation, product stacking, product changeovers, QC checks, logging scrap and product labeling.
- Operation of Presses to include: loading and unloading of coils, uncoiler operation, adjustment and operation of steel straightener, feeder operation, press operation, stacking of parts, securing product prior to movement, QC checks at the beginning of each coil or pallet whichever occurs first, product label.
- Responsible for assigned area start up procedure and end procedure. Other duties as assigned by management.
- Training is required for controlled shutdowns, emergency shutdowns, lock out tag out, and crane use. After completion of training the employee is responsible for these procedures when required or necessary.
- Stack empty pallets for removal each day.
- Verify product specification and product quality through inspection, observation, and measuring work pieces at the start of each new rack, pallet, and coil change.
- Adjust machine / equipment performance to meet product specifications and quality standards.
- Utilize hand and power tools, cranes, and other material handling devices for manufacturing assistance.
Qualifications:
- Industrial manufacturing experience desired.
- Able to read, speak, and understand work instructions in English.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
- Frequent bending, pushing / pulling, reaching and lifting periodically up to75 pounds.
- Regularly lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand on feet for up to 90% of shift.
- Must wear the required PPE for each assigned area.
- Must follow proper safety techniques for the job assigned, keeping safety at the forefront for all team members.
- Keep a clean and well-maintained workspace throughout the shift.
Compensation & Benefits:
- For this position, you will be paid $18-$19/hour
- Shifts available: Monday - Friday 6:00am-4:30pm (Weekday and Saturday mandatory over-time as required.)
