$90,000.00/yr - $105,000.00/yr

Production Manager

Position Overview

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the manufacturing facility, ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. This role requires strong leadership skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and a thorough understanding of manufacturing processes. Prior experience within Operations Management and Production planning within a lean manufacturing environment highly preferred, additional consideration for Packaging experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the entire production process to ensure timely and efficient operations.
  • Implement and monitor production schedules, ensuring optimal resource allocation and workflow optimization.
  • Maintain quality control processes to meet company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and mentor a team of production staff, fostering a safe and productive work environment.
  • Conduct regular assessments of manufacturing processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing lean manufacturing principles.
  • Manage equipment maintenance and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with supply chain management to ensure adequate inventory levels and timely deliveries of materials.
  • Develop and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  • Prepare and analyze production reports, providing insights to upper management for decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • 3+ Years of experience as a Production Manager or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Prior exposure to packaging manufacturing processes and machinery highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and supply chain management.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing and process improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with safety compliance regulations and practices.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
