Job summary

Quanex Building Products Corporation, located in Statesville, NC, is seeking a Production Manager II to lead shop-floor operations, including production, shipping/receiving, maintenance, and grounds. You will establish leadership for safety, training, and continuous improvement, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery with quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering, Business Administration or 7+ years of equivalent combination of education and experience in a managerial role within manufacturing is required.
• Experience in production, production control, engineering and supervision essential.
• Must have thorough knowledge of product offerings and product/process capabilities.
• Must have fundamental understanding and experience with lean manufacturing.
• ERP/Scheduling knowledge and experience.

Responsibilities

• Establishes leadership to area of assigned responsibility, to support development and implementation of programs regarding safety, employment, labor relations, management training, manpower planning, technical expertise, and customer relations.
• Ensures all production orders are completed on schedule, per budget, and at the quality levels developed by management to satisfy internal and external customers.
• Manages the development and training of reporting personnel in manufacturing processes, JIT, quality assurance, employee relations, safety and continuous improvement.
• Works with materials to ensure achievement of proper inventory turns as defined by support sales service objectives.
• Manages the weekly production planning forecasts based on customer input and information from the Plant Manager, Customer Service, Materials Management, Engineering, and Sales.
• Ensures the implementation and maintenance of a quality system that ensures metrics are met and 100% on-time delivery the first time.
• Supports plant initiatives and directives regarding safety, quality, production, and continuous improvement.

Quanex is looking for a Production Manager II to join our team located in Statesville, NC.

The Production Manager II plans, leads, organizes, and directs the operations of the shop floor as it relates to production, shipping/receiving, maintenance, and grounds.

What You Bring:

The salary for this position is $86K - $130K w/ bonus potential.
