Job summary

TreeHouse Foods, Inc. is seeking a Production Manager for the Lancaster, PA plant to lead daily production operations, supervise a team of supervisors and operators, and drive safety, quality, and efficiency across the site.

You will focus on maximizing productivity, reducing downtime, and maintaining high standards while promoting CI and Lean initiatives, ensuring compliance with Food Safety requirements and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing or related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production or food manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role is required.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, quality control procedures, and inventory management.
• Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and procurement software such as SAP.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to production supervisors and team members, including assigning tasks and ensuring production targets and schedules are met.
• Coordinate production workflows, monitor production lines, and ensure equipment and materials are available.
• Lead and promote a safety-first culture by actively supporting the site’s Health & Safety program and ensure compliance with all Food Safety and Quality requirements.
• Champion Continuous Improvement activities and foster an environment of employee engagement, empowerment, and teamwork, particularly in relation to CI, LEAN, and other change-driven areas.
• Monitor and evaluate worker performance and provide constructive feedback, including corrective actions as needed.
• Identify and resolve quality issues, collaborating with quality control and engineering teams as necessary.
• Monitor production processes to prevent defects and minimize waste.
• Oversee routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment and machinery to ensure minimal downtime.
• Ensure the production area is clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, or monthly reports on production performance, including any issues or improvements.
• Ensure compliance with all company and plant policies and procedures, including collective bargaining agreements (if applicable).
• Contribute to the development and execution of strategic plant-wide initiatives.
• Serve as an active member of the Plant Steering Team, contributing to site strategy, performance, and continuous improvement objectives.
